Alberta Health Services and its partners wanted to bring more awareness to cancer prevention by making research information and tools easily accessible online to Albertans. Eventually, the project would expand and focus on Alberta preventing other chronic diseases.
A clean and rounded san serif font was selected for an approachable appearance to the topic of cancer prevention while the importance of the word "prevents" is emphasized in a solid bar. This design made it easy to change the chronic disease being address in other areas of the website and keeping an overall consistent look.
Sub category logos utilized the Alberta Prevents portion of the Alberta Prevents Cancer logo to address other chronic diseases in future websites developments.
